I help organizations align what they do
with why they do it.
Meet Leah
I am Leah King - a creator, educator, facilitator, and consultant who has worked on three continents with clients in boardrooms, prisons, parking lots, state-of-the-art media facilities, tiny villages, and dusty auditoriums. Now, I help nonprofits, foundations, academic institutions, and public service organizations understand their strengths, examine their impact, and communicate their value.
In 2016, after a decade of teaching arts education in public schools, I began training in culturally responsive education, trauma-informed leadership, and socio-emotional communication strategies while working at the NYC Department of Education. This was followed by a role as Director of Education at a nonprofit in the San Francisco Bay Area, while teaching equity and inclusion in design courses at California College of the Arts.
Then I realized: connection is a practice, and story is a strategy. So, I pivoted to working with private clients as a leadership coach and consultant.
Since getting my MFA at University Southern California in 2025, I realized something unique about my combination of business and creative training: I show people and organizations how to creatively and effectively articulate their why.
Spanning facilitation, individualized and group coaching, program design, and organizational management support, I tailor a scope of work for each client that includes thorough needs assessments as well as post-engagement checkins to ensure our needs have been met.
Working with me means finding the right story at the right time.

A few projects I’ve done in 2026:
Higher Education: Coached staff at a leading private university to develop more engaging, student-centered approaches to community engagement.
Nonprofit Management: Organized programmatic operations for a small nonprofit while they managed a leadership transition.
STEM & Equity: Designed and led professional development workshops for women and non-binary engineers as part of an international gender-equity initiative.
Find your why. Make it work.
